About the role

PeopleSource Solutions is recruiting for a full-time, on-site Area Operations Manager based in Austin, TX. You will serve as the primary operational leader responsible for the overall performance, profitability, and daily operations of assigned branches. Reporting directly to the Regional Director, you will work cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and executive leadership to support business objectives and deliver operational excellence. This is a high-accountability role that demands sound decision-making and a strong commitment to service quality and team development.

Key responsibilities

You will oversee all daily branch operations, ensuring efficient service delivery and adherence to company standards across key metrics including revenue, customer retention, and employee productivity. You will manage branch-level profit and loss performance, monitor labor costs and expenses, and develop plans to meet or exceed revenue, margin, and budget targets. You will lead, coach, and develop branch employees including technicians and support staff while supporting hiring, onboarding, and performance management in partnership with HR. You will serve as a leader in customer experience, participating in client meetings, issue resolution, and service recovery as needed. You will also ensure all vehicles, tools, and equipment are maintained safely, oversee compliance with licensing and safety requirements, and utilize company platforms such as PestPac, Podium, GoTo, and Slack to manage operations and communication.

Required skills

The ideal candidate brings proven leadership experience in operations, branch management, or service-based environments, along with direct experience managing P&L and operational performance. You must demonstrate a strong understanding of customer service, scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and safety practices. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to lead teams, make sound decisions, and adapt to changing priorities. You must be comfortable using operational and communication platforms and technology to manage day-to-day branch functions.

Experience required

Proven leadership experience in operations, branch management, or service-based environments; experience managing P&L and operational performance required; pest control or field service industry experience preferred.

Preferred qualifications

Experience in the pest control or field service industry is preferred and will distinguish strong candidates in this search. Familiarity with routing and scheduling tools commonly used in field service environments is a plus. Candidates who have previously led multi-site or branch-level operations will be well positioned for success in this role.
