About the role

This is a full-time, on-site Branch Manager opportunity located in Upper Marlboro, MD, offering a competitive salary of $85,000 to $95,000. You will be responsible for total branch performance in accordance with company policy and procedures, including creating and executing the branch business plan. The ideal candidate will ensure store profitability, manage and develop branch personnel, and provide sound leadership across all areas of branch operations. This role supports continuous improvement and personal growth while advancing company goals, mission, and vision.

Key responsibilities

You will direct warehouse operations, maintain necessary inventory levels, order materials, and route deliveries and pickups while maintaining branch security and overseeing opening and closing procedures. You will assign and direct all work performed in the branch, oversee training, periodically evaluate personnel performance, and foster development opportunities for all staff. On the sales side, you will penetrate targeted accounts, generate and maintain new customer accounts through cold calling when necessary, resolve customer issues timely and professionally, and build a network of referrals to drive gross profit growth. You will also complete and submit all required paperwork regarding personnel, accounting, and accounts payable in a timely manner, and help plan and maintain facility layout to promote safety, security, and productivity.

Required skills

You must bring a minimum of three years of work experience along with demonstrated previous management experience. Fork Truck Certification and a valid driver's license are required, as is the ability to lift 50 pounds. You will need proficiency in Microsoft Office, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong problem identification and objection resolution abilities, and the capacity to perform basic mathematical calculations. A high level of integrity, self-motivation, and strong organizational skills are essential to success in this role.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to convert prospects into customers and a track record of growing revenue within an existing client base.
