About the role

This is a full-time, on-site Branch Manager opportunity located in Roanoke, VA, within the supply chain industry. You will be responsible for total branch performance in accordance with company policy and procedures, including creating and executing the branch business plan. The ideal candidate will ensure store profitability, manage and develop branch personnel, and provide sound leadership across all areas of branch operations. This role requires a hands-on leader committed to continuous improvement, operational excellence, and supporting broader company goals, mission, and vision.

Key responsibilities

You will direct all warehouse operations, maintain necessary inventory levels, order materials, route deliveries and pickups, and reconcile inventory discrepancies. You will assign and direct all work performed in the branch, oversee training and development opportunities for personnel, and conduct regular performance evaluations with formal and informal feedback. In the area of sales and account management, you will maintain customer and supplier relationships, assist in account development, generate and develop new customer accounts through cold calling when necessary, and resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner. You will also complete and submit all required paperwork related to personnel, accounting, and accounts payable, and help plan and maintain facility layout to promote safety, security, and productivity.

Required skills

The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 3 years of work experience along with previous management experience. You must possess demonstrated ability to convert prospects into customers, strong problem identification and objection resolution skills, and exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Fork Truck Certification and a valid driver's license are required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, and the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds are also required. A high level of integrity, strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work with a high degree of enthusiasm and energy are essential to success in this role.

Preferred qualifications

Candidates who have experience managing branch-level profit and loss responsibilities and a background in counter sales or distribution environments will stand out. Prior experience using sales management software tools or marketing data platforms to drive efficiency is a plus. Familiarity with safety compliance standards in a warehouse or industrial setting is also advantageous.
