About the role

PeopleSource Solutions is recruiting an on-site Inventory Control Supervisor for a leading third-party logistics provider based in Jeffersonville, IN. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the assessment and coordination of personnel, equipment, and inventory to meet daily productivity goals and timelines. You will also serve as the site's quality assurance, safety, and training representative, ensuring that inventory operations meet both customer and site requirements. This position requires up to 25% travel and offers direct impact on supply chain operations at a high-volume distribution environment.

Key responsibilities

You will oversee the accuracy of all inbound and outbound inventory through audits and cycle counts, and lead root cause analysis efforts to research and resolve inventory discrepancies. You will direct inventory staff in the completion of work to meet customer expectations, manage timekeeping records, and prepare and process daily reports. Additional responsibilities include coordinating the zoning and consolidation of physical inventory, overseeing returns and damage areas, investigating mixed stow causes, and organizing physical inventories as directed by the customer. You will also ensure all associates are trained and following standard work as outlined in the Quality Management System, including LEAN and Six Sigma protocols, and conduct building security audits as required. You will manage and issue mid-year and annual performance reviews for your team.

Required skills

The ideal candidate brings a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and a minimum of five years of prior inventory planning experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous supervision, team lead, or management experience of hourly warehouse or operations employees is required, as is a background in high-volume receiving and distribution for a large broad-line warehouse network. Proficiency with the High Jump system is expected, along with demonstrated knowledge of LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies, root cause analysis, quality assurance, and safety compliance practices.

Bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years inventory planning experience; prior supervision/team lead experience required; high volume receiving and distribution background needed

Preferred qualifications

Candidates with experience managing inventory operations within a 3PL environment will be well-positioned for success in this role. Familiarity with change management practices and the ability to balance day-to-day operational demands with longer-term strategic priorities are strongly valued. A valid passport is not required but is recommended given the travel component of this position.
