About the role

This is a full-time, on-site Operations Supervisor opportunity within a fast-paced 3PL warehouse and distribution environment in Jeffersonville, IN. You will be responsible for directing the work of associates across your assigned departments and areas, with accountability for both the safety and quality of all work performed. This role reports to the General Manager and carries up to 25% travel requirements.

Key responsibilities

You will determine work volume, prepare schedules, and expedite workflow to ensure maximum cost effectiveness within your department. You will assign duties, examine work for quality and conformity to policies, and monitor or perform the accurate shipping of outbound orders as needed. You will mentor and coach associates through performance evaluations and corrective actions, manage employee time edits and corrections, and work to maintain harmony while resolving grievances. You will assist the Safety Advocate with all aspects of the Safety Program, participate on the Safety Committee, and support the development and improvement of operational processes. You will also assume responsibility for zoning and product database development during the receiving process and perform training on policies, procedures, and Standard Works.

Required skills

You must have a minimum of three years of experience in warehousing, distribution, or a related field, along with at least six months of supervisory experience. A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college is required, or an equivalent combination of related experience and training. Proficiency in PC and computer skills, including Microsoft Office, is required. You should demonstrate competency in business acumen, communicating for impact, leading people, change management, relationship management, and strategic agility.

3+ years warehousing/distribution experience; 6+ months supervisory experience; Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Preferred qualifications

Candidates who have experience supporting formal safety programs or serving on safety committees will stand out in this search. Familiarity with inventory control processes, zoning practices, and product database management within a 3PL environment is a strong advantage. Experience developing or refining Standard Works and process improvement initiatives is also viewed favorably.
